Developing wrestlers of all ages to help reach greater goals

April 25, 2011 Update: Support from fans of Lehigh Valley wrestling has never been greater, with record gift levels for the Club’s Annual Fund set with regularity since we received 501(c)(3) status in 1999. In the first three years (2001-03) of annual giving campaigns, the LVAC raised an average of $46,000. Over the next four, the average grew to $91,000, with $268,000 in gifts combined received in 2008 and 2009, before $216,000 was achieved last year alone (fiscal 2009-10, ending 6/30/10).

A remarkable goal of nearly $350,000 in total revenue appears achievable for our one fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. Overall Lehigh Valley Athletic Club revenue is now derived from five different sources, with the approximate changes in pct of total revenue since our origin:

Avg 1st 3 Yrs 2008-09 2010-11
1). Individual Donations 82% 93% 88%
2). Clinic Fees 12% 5% 3%
3). Individual & Corporate Golf Outing Participation 6% 2% 3%
4). Special Trip Raffles (2010, 2011) 3%
5). Wine Tasting Dinner Party (April, 2011) 3%

The Club will maintain reasonably priced LVAC Clinic fees, while raising the surplus from the Annual Golf Outing to $20,000 in August, 2010, from a typical prior range of $1,500 to $5,000. That net was derived from increased ads and golfers ($10,000 from the outing itself), plus a special Riviera Country Club golf trip raffle (golf at Riviera and Bel Air, travel and accommodations, courtesy of Ted Howells), which netted another $10k. A spectacular new raffle this Spring will offer a 1-week Caribbean vacation for four, including air fare, private home rental on an island beach, including food, drinks, wait staff, bartender and chef.

Your participation in any or all of these areas are sincerely appreciated in support of the LVAC which works hard to promote higher quality within the world’s oldest, and one of the most genuinely amateur, sports.
